Service Description: In preparing for UU ministry, candidiates are required to do a unit of what is called CPE - Clinincal Pastoral Education. The unit requires 300 hours of direct service as a chaplain and 100 hours of classwork that includes a lot of reflection. Those 400 hours challenged, shaped, and confronted me in so many ways - and taught me about the deep covenantal theology of new socks.
